Announcements for Jan. 29, 2023

Town Hall Meeting

Please mark your calendar for Sunday, February 5th at 4:00. District Superintendent Debora Bishop will lead a Town Hall meeting to discuss the future of Bay Minette First United Methodist Church. The meeting will be held in the Fellowship Hall.

Prior to the meeting, everyone is encouraged to go to the conference website www.awfumc.org, and watch the Bishop’s Q&A video, watch the Episcopal address at the 2022 Annual Conference, read the FAQs from the Regional Laity meetings, and read the Bishop’s letter, “Why I Remain a United Methodist”.

North Baldwin Ecumenical Ministries

They need items to fill their shelves. Would you be willing to donate some of the following items: peanut butter, canned fruit, canned meat such as tuna, spaghetti sauce with meat, spaghetti noodles as well as other pastas, and large cans of soup? Simply bring your donations to the church on Sunday or drop them by the office during office hours.

Pledge Cards

As we look to the future, it is time to begin the process of planning for next year’s church budget. This process is dependent upon every person who calls FUMC Bay Minette home doing their part. As we prayerfully consider our donations to the ministry of the church, let me encourage you to take a step up in your pledge. Your gifts to the church allow us to minister to so many. Your continued support of the church by your prayers, your presence, your gifts, and your service are vital as we continue to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. They are located in the pew backs and Narthex

Children and Youth

Our Children and Youth programming is a ministry of our church that is always needing extra eyes and hands. We are currently looking for more teachers for the children Wednesday nights, and volunteers to help in youth Sunday and Wednesday. We would love more people to be involved in loving on our kids and helping them learn about Christ! If you are interested, please contact Abby Bennett.

Glow Kids

We are starting a new children’s program that will take place once a month, called GLOW kids (God’s Light of the World). Normally, this will be the first Sunday of the month, however we will skip the month of January and resume in February.
